When the Khmer Rouge came to power, Jews made up 0.1% of the population.
Very few Jews currently reside in Cambodia.
The Jewish community consists of ex-patriots, NGO workers, travelers, hikers, and adventurers.
Around 200 Jews reside in Cambodia year-round, with most of them living in Phnom Penh. An estimated 60-70 Jews live elsewhere in Cambodia, and Siem Reap has 20 Jews, who work at the local hospital.
